“Kansa” काँसा (กานสะ) เป็นภาษาฮินดีตรงกับภาษาอังกฤษว่า Bell-Metal, Bronze แปลเป็นไทยว่าโลหะระฆัง และ สำริดซึ่งเป็นความหมายที่ไม่ถูกต้องนักจึงนิยมพูดทับศัพท์
“Kansa” เกิดขึ้นในยุคสำริดในอินเดียเมื่อกว่า5,000ปีก่อน ซึ่งค้นพบการถลุงทองแดงและดีบุก “Kansa”สร้างขึ้นจากการหลอมโลหะเก้าชนิดเข้าด้วยกัน(นวโลหะ)โดยมีสัดส่วนทองแดงและดีบุกเป็นหลักซึ่งเป็นเทคนิคเฉพาะจากความรู้ในพระเวทย์ที่สืบต่อกันมา
“Kansa” โลหะที่ใช้ในไม้กายสิทธิ์ บางครั้งเรียกกันว่า “โลหะระฆัง” เพราะเป็นโลหะมีส่่วนผสมคล้ายกับโลหะที่นำมาหลอมเป็นระฆัง,ฆ้องและSinging bowl (ขันทิเบต) ตามเทคนิคดั้งเดิมที่สืบทอดกันมา เพื่อใช้ในการกระตุ้นจักระและการฝึกสมาธิของพระในพุทธศาสนาที่ทิเบตมานานหลายศตวรรษ แต่โลหะกานสะมีความบริสุทธิ์สูงกว่ามากและมีเทคนิคการผสมโลหะที่ละเอียดอ่อนกว่าเนื่องจากใช้การสัมผัสโดยตรงกับจุดมาร์มา,หรือจุดเมอริเดียนบนใบหน้าเป็นหลัก
ในปัจจุบันการSinging bowlเป็นที่ยอมรับกันอย่างกว้างขวางในการบำบัดรักษาความไม่สบายทางจิตใจและร่างกายด้วยศาสตร์ที่เรียกว่า Sound Therapy& Sound Healing (พลังเสียงบำบัด)

“Kansa” originated in the Bronze Age in India over 5,000 years ago. who discovered the smelting of copper and tin. Crafted from smelting nine different metals, with copper and tin as the main proportions, which is a specific technique.
“Kansa” metal is used in wands ,sometimes called “bell metal”, because it is a metal mixture similar to metal that is forged into bells, gongs and singing bowls (Tibetan bowls) according to traditional techniques. It has been used for centuries in the chakra stimulation and meditation practice of Tibetan Buddhist monks. But Kansa metal is much higher purity and has a more delicate metallurgy technique as it mainly uses direct contact with facial meridians.
Currently Singing Bowl is widely accepted to treat mental and physical discomfort with the science called Sound Therapy & Sound Healing.
